First of all I would like to say a massive HAPPY FATHEERRSS DAAAYYY!!!! To My Grandfather and my own Father. Both have played great and vital parts in my life and have being amazing inspirations to me...
#FACT: Did you know Fiji has snakes!!!! There are live Pythons.. don't ask me how the got to Fiji, they're just there because we saw one and it was huge!!! But it was safe ..because the Fijians killed it and ate lol! We took heaps of photos on this trip, a couple of me in the coconut tree's etc lol #ItsSafe and we were hungry too lol
We took photo's and then continued on. We walked along the beach, through the ocean (Low Tide, I wasn't swimming lol), we walked through bush and climbed two mountains... IM NOT JOKING.. this is all truth lmbo. I spotted a lot of crabs, kina (sea urchin), star fish, sea horses, fish and a couple octopus. We found a dead goat that had fallen of a cliff. I slipped and got a massive cut on my leg but not too deep. I'm fine :D
All up it took us 4 hours to walk to where Uncle Edwin lived. We reached the mouth of the river where the sea goes in to a river going in land. Our members told us Uncle Edwin lives on the other side of the river -.- We walked 4 hours just for them to tell us he lives on the other side of a deep and massive river!!!! #FijiansMaannnLOL
Lucky we had Uncle Edwins number and called him, he thankfully picked up the phone and at first thought we were pulling a trick as we told him we had come to see him. We could see his massive almost tree house looking house across the river, he came over on his bamboo raft. As we came out of the bush and met him on the beach it was like he was Mel Gibson from the movie castaway when he yelled with a deep of loud voice "EEELLLDDEERRSSS!!!!!! BULA VINAKA!!! "
It was like one of those scene's on the beach as he ran to greet us lol just without the slow motion hahaha... He greeted us with a firm handshake and massive Fijian smile. He was so happy to see us, he told us this was the first time anyone had come to see him. He had said a prayer only the night before and had prayed that the missionaries would come. His prayer was answered!!
It's funny because as we were walking, we thought about if we should return back to the car but we didn't, we pressed on. And I really felt like Jesus Christ going after the one sheep that had gone astray, leaving the 99 sheep to search for the one. It was amazing, and a memorable experience and a great witness to my testimony, especially as Uncle Edwin shared with us his conversion story and his own personal testimony and love for the Missionaries, the church and his goal to take his 8 sons & wife to the temple next year. It was a wonderful and UN-forgetable experience. I really felt the spirit was with us and he rewarded us greatly for our diligence to seek the one. Thank you Uncle Edwin.
Well that's all I wish to share I have to keep writing other people lol. And have a lot of preparations to do today because of zone conference coming up this Wednesday. My companion and I are giving a small training, auuuee :P
Love you all family, Happy Fathers day to my Dad and Grandad :) Love to all my Family :)
